Games For Nintendo Wii Are As Unique As The Wii Itself
The ever changing video game industry took a giant leap when Nintendo released the Wii in late 2006. Unlike previous video game releases from Nintendo, and others, the Wii’s distinguishing features were not improved graphics, or faster game speed, or any of the countless other innovations that have dotted the gaming landscape. Instead, Nintendo’s Wii has ushered in a new way to play video games with its revolutionary control system.
The controller of the Wii system is a hand-held, wireless remote control that has the ability to sense movements in all directions. Instead of using a traditional joystick, players move, point, swing, and gesture with the remote control, and those movements are detected by infrared sensors on the game console. The result is an interactive gaming experience that can not be had on any game system, especially when you are playing games for the Nintendo Wii because they are designed to take full advantage of all that the Wii has to offer.
Wii Sports is a game that features five game simulations – tennis, golf, baseball, boxing, and bowling – and the natural movements in sports make for a great platform for the Wii to strut its stuff, so it should come as no surprise that Nintendo included Wii Sports with each purchase of a Wii system. However, it is the games for Nintendo Wii that are not included with the game system that continue to drive people to the stores and online retailers.
At the top of the list of games for Nintendo Wii is Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which is the latest in a series of Zelda games, but the first that is compatible with the Wii system. Launched alongside the Wii, Zelda allows loyal fans to continue their adventures in ways that only the Wii can allow. Medal of Honor: Vanguard is another new release of an old favorite. Medal of Honor continues its realistic World War II “shoot em” action, while in another release everyone’s favorite hedgehog makes his Wii debut in Sonic and the Secret Rings.
Hardcore gamers consider one of the best games for Nintendo Wii to be WarioWare: Smooth Moves. Considered to be an ideal platform for all the Wii can do, WarioWare is another game that continues on an existing series. WarioWare relies on a series of microgames – games based on simple movements that can often last only a few seconds each. The player is given rapid game scenarios with instructions that hint at the required action. Making the correct movements allows the player to move on to the next game, whereas too many mistakes will force the player to start over. The concept of movements as the key to success makes this one of the most ideal games for Nintendo Wii.
Countless new games for Nintendo Wii are sure to hit the market, especially as the popularity of the game platform is growing. Regardless of the theme of the game, the unique controller is sure to make all future games for the Nintendo Wii unlike anything one could play with any other gaming system.

What’s the big deal with the rejected new game console Nintendo DSi?
Everyone seems to like this console, WHY! Surely it can’t beat the Xbox 360, PS3 and wii.
Graphically, no, it does not beat the Wii. It is an upgraded DS, and is like a smaller version of a Wii. I have a Wii, and enjoy my DSi more because of the handheld feature. One thing I don’t like about the Wii is the fact that I can’t watch TV while playing it because it is on my TV. It simply depends on preference.
I would be happy with the DS, but only had to wait about a month to get the newer version DSi. I did not already have a DS but wanted one for travel. I like the game selection on the DS vs the PSP.
It Is A Great Time To Be One Who Plays Video Games
There is something special about the video games of today. The people who enjoy playing them are living in a very exiting time. With the recent releases of Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3 (and Xbox 360 a little while back) the gaming experience has been raised to a whole new level. You know there must be something really exciting about the newly released next generation video game systems if people are willing to camp out in front of stores for a week before their release and then stampede inside the store once they open the doors.
While the hype was substantial leading up to the releases of Nintendo Wii and Sony’s Playstation 3, there is also something to be said for customer satisfaction in these cases. These customers are so happy with what they have already seen in the previous products of these companies that they cannot wait to get their hands on whatever products they are offering next.
The new features that these new systems offer such as Motion-Sensitive Remotes, Online Gaming, Wi-Fi Support and High Definition Game Support have customers fighting to be the first ones to have them. It is doubtful that any of them minded the camping out in front of the store part though, because they probably all had a PSP (Playstation Portable) with them and were playing all the cool PSP downloads they got from the Internet. You can now bring your video games with you where ever you go on the planet.
Sony and Nintendo are now neck and neck in the race for technological dominance of the computer game industry. While Playstation 2 dominated this race for years since it’s debut back in 1995, Xbox 360 came on the scene and became a competitor. Nintendo suddenly vaulted to the front of the race when they recently released their Wii console. This system takes gaming to a whole new level. It has a revolutionary type of motion sensitive remote control that allows the user to get off their seat and actually get some exercise as they punch, swing, kick and dance their way through the games.
Sony released their Playstation 3 console soon after Wii was released and they jumped back to the front of the race with this action along side Nintendo. Wii is selling for a little bit less than Playstation 3 is selling for, and this is a big plus for parents on a budget. However, Sony’s new system has many impressive features of it’s own such as DVD Movie Playback capability and a 60GB hard drive available. These two systems have a little bit of an advantage over Xbox, for it does not have a motion sensitive remote control.
Xbox will eventually have a system that is comparable to these two systems. The main reason that Xbox 360 is still in the game is because they have such a huge selection of games that go with their systems. The Xbox 360 console has 116 games that can be played with it, while Playstation 3 has 41 and Wii has 47 games. It will not be long before a new version of Xbox 360 is released and then the race will have 3 companies running neck and neck at the front.
Playing a video game these days is like stepping into another world and leaving reality behind for a little while. The technology that is involved with the production of these games is definitely on the cutting edge. Things like next generation motion capture, high definition graphics and motion-sensitive remote controls have made today’s video gaming experience nothing less than exhilarating, and to some extent liberating. Your problems disappear once you escape into the world of a video game.
The quality of the graphics, the level of interactivity and the variety of features these spectacular computer games offer these days are like nothing ever seen before. Playing these games is a great way to lose stress and forget about your problems for a little while, even if it is just for twenty minutes during a lunch break. Gameboy and Sony’s PSP units have made it so that you can play games just about anywhere.
It is an exciting time to be a video game player. Technology has advanced to the point where you are no longer just playing the game, but you are actually in the game. If you are the kind of person who just loves to play video games, then you must agree that it is a great time to be alive.

How much does a Nintendo game console Wii sport with 8 games cost? does it usually come with a controller?
This is actually the standard package.
1 Wii game console
1 Wii Sports game
1 Wii Controller with nunchuck
Retail price $250
The 8 game thing that I have read on some ebay postings is very cryptic. I think it is just a gimic to make you think you are getting more than you are. It may also be an 8 in one game like wii play (which retails for ~$50 with an extra wiimote). Alone wii play should cost ~$20.
I hope this helps.
Nintendo Wii Freeloader – Quickly And Easily Play Your Gamecube Import Games On Your Nintendo Wii
Any hard core gamers knows that many of the best games – or at least the most unique games, come right out of Japan. Most of these games never see the light of day in the United States or Europe and gamers are left wanting and drooling for games they’ll never have the chance to play. At least that was the case with the Gamecube and now also with the Nintendo Wii. Then along came a little disc called the Freeloader, that allowed any Gamecube to play any Japanese game with ease, with no mod chip required and no need to open your console.
Why do I mention Gamecube and Wii playing import games? Simply because the Nintendo Wii is also compatible with every single Gamecube Game, including the FreeLoader disc. Because the Nintendo Wii can boot Gamecube Discs / games, you can also load the Freeloader and finally take advantage of all of the great Import games on the market. The Nintendo Wii Freeloader is a disc, that allows any Wii owner to play import Gamecube games without a mod chip. As you may have guessed, the Freeloader was not actually manufactured for the Nintendo Wii, but was instead a product that has been out for several years (with various updates) for the Nintendo Gamecube. Since the Wii can play Gamecube games and is backwards compatible, it will also load the FreeLoader on any Wii console allowing you to play any region Gamecube game with ease.
Now, if this were just any kind of disc, I wouldn’t write a review on it. And often times, when I talk about import games, people ask me why I would want to play games that are all in Japanese and can’t be played anyway. Or ask me what the big deal is with these games from Japan. The fact of the matter is, over 60% of Japanese import games can be played with no problem. I’m a big fan or racing games and some of the BEST racing games for Gamecube have only been released in Japan. The same would go for first person shooters. But more than that, some of the games are just so very unique, so well designed, that you must try them. You’ll immediately become an import game fan once you do.
Regardless of the genre of games you like. By being able to play import games, you’re actually expanding your software library, or at least the available selection by thousands of additional games. Many of these games you won’t hear about at your local Blockbuster, or in magazine. But online review sites like IGN.com or GameSpot.com have entire sections devoted to import games and import gaming, because there are a tremendous amount of great games available.
This brings us back to the Freeloader. The Freeloader was developed by Datel as a means to cut out the need for installing a mod chip in your Gamecube console to have access, and the ability to play these games. Before the Freeloader, you would need to install a Gamecube Mod Chip like the Xeno Gamecube or the Viper Gamecube chip to play your import and personally backed up games. While the Freeloader won’t let you play backup games, it will effortlessly allow you to play Import games from any region on any Gamecube.
I want to also say that this is NOT an article to promote the Freeloader as the next best thing since sliced The Legend Of Zelda for the Gamecube or Nintendo Wii. If you’re not into Japanese games, or import games in general, and have no interest in them, then the Freeloader is not for you. It doesn’t offer any extras or advantages for any Nintendo Wii or Gamecube owner who is happy to just play the offering of games available in their own country. Its sole purpose is to allow gamers like myself, and tens of thousands of others, to enable the playing of Import games. While I am stressing just Japanese games in this article as they are my own personal favorite. European gamers can also play the latest games released only in the USA on their PAL Gamecube or Nintendo Wii systems as well. Gamecube import games are not just from Japan. If you’re a fan or Rally racing games, many of the best games in that genre are released in the UK and Europe.
Just how do you use the Gamecube Freeloader on the Nintendo Wii? First of all, think of it as a Nintendo Wii Freeloader. Insert the disc into your Nintendo Wii just as you would your Gamecube, and then select it from your Wii Dashboard. It’ll load up, and you’ll be greeted by the Freeloader main menu, where you’ll have several selections. While it isn’t loaded with features that’ll blow you away – that is exactly the reason it’s so easy to use. I suppose there aren’t really a slew of features you could pack in to software that is intended to do just one thing – play import video games. We can thank the simplicity and ease of use due to the few options it has.
The Freeloader is easy to use, both on the Gamecube and the Nintendo Wii console. You simply put the disc in the Gamecube or your Nintendo Wii, wait for it to load and then pick the map representing the region you want to play. You’ll then have to eject the disc from your Nintendo Wii, or open the Gamecube lid, and take out the Freeloader, put in the game you want to play and it will just load for you. It couldn’t get any easier really.
In closing, the Freeloader for the Gamecube or Nintendo Wii is meant to do one thing, and one thing only. It does it with ease and work perfectly each and every time. It’s not intended to do anything else. Comparing it to other software or add ons for either the Gamecube or the Nintendo Wii would be pointless. If you want to start getting the latest import games without having to wait until the hit the local market – if they ever do at all, then the Freeloader is the easiest and cheapest way to get you started.

Will the Playstation, Xbox, or Nintendo series of game consoles stop selling in general first?
Which do you think? Personallly i think Playstation will first
None of them will, nor has anything or anyone ever hinted at such a thing.
They are all very different. MS targets mostly the college beer swilling guys who want everything to be extreme, loud, explosive and such. While ps3 is trying to target core games and nintendo is happy raking in money by being the king of the imbeciles and selling games and stuff that are mostly not even real games.
how much do nintendo wii game consoles cost?
$249 …good luck finding one this time a year though
What memory card do I need for a Nintendo Game Cube console?
found some on ebay listed as "GAMECUBE 4M 4MB MEMORY CARD FOR NINTENDO GC Wii NEW" is that it? are they compatible with Wii? the game cube is old
That means that it is a gamecube memory card that you you can put in the WII when you play gamecube games on it. =P
